O compositor britânico Paul Weller, líder da clássica banda The Jam, divulgou há algumas semanas que lançaria um compacto especial no Record Store Day deste ano (veja aqui todos os lançamentos que irão rolar). Porém, o músico já divulgou a nova canção em seu SoundCloud.

Brand New Toy terá um lançamento especial em vinil de 7 polegadas e será acompanhada da também inédita Landslide. Serão oferecidas apenas 750 cópias da edição.

Outra novidade é a coletânea que será lançada em 2 de junho. Intitulada More Modern Classics, a compilação reunirá antigas músicas de Paul Weller acompanhadas do novo single. O título é uma alusão à compilação de 1998, Modern Classics. Uma espécie de segunda parte da coletânea.

Será lançada em vários formatos: CD, vinil duplo de 180 gramas e digital. Estará disponível também uma versão deluxe em CD e formato digital, com faixas bônus do cantor.
