A agência McCane Merlbourne criou uma premiada campanha, vencedora de 5GPs em Cannes, para ajudar na prevenção de acidentes fatais na Austrália. Estou falando do vídeo “Dumb ways to die”, que já foi postado aqui anteriormente.
Meses mais tarde e com os holofotes voltados ao Brasil devido à Copa das Confederações, foi produzida uma paródia brasileira do vídeo. “Dumb ways to die in Rio”, além de um vídeo humorístico, possui uma crítica embutida. Diferente do vídeo original, em que são citadas maneiras realmente bizarras de morrer, como ingerir super cola ou atear fogo no próprio cabelo, nesta paródia são citados exemplos nada absurdos para a realidade do Rio de Janeiro.
